Medici Pro-Strada Fixie

After thinking about what to do with this frameset, I decided to build a frittata fixie, a bike dish to clean out the refrigerator of leftover parts. After looking around the garage, I only had to buy two things, a 1" threaded headset and an Italian bottom bracket.

9/28/2010 - After gathering all the parts, the bike came together pretty nicely. The 107mm bottom bracket just happen to result in a perfect chain line. I took it out for a quick ride in the neighborhood, pitch black on an unusually warm night. The bike was perfectly silent as we glided through the warm air. I was planning on selling the bike, but now I may want to keep it for a while. Not bad for leftovers...

10/12/2010 - Selling the bike to my co-workers husband tomorrow. Putting on a freewheel and rear brakes and off she goes, to serve as an urban commuter in SF. So I would say this was a very successful experience. Found an old neglected bike in Stockton, cleaned it up, fixed it up, and found a new dignified purpose for the bike.
